We are pleased to announce that the Sfakia Sky Marathon now has two new Partner Races: Ursa Trail and Argithea Mountain Race. And both cases there are events organized by true mountain enthusiasts, like us. Competitions that we know, that have amazing routes, and the organization is at the highest level. Above all, however, these are competitions that share our values ​​- a deep belief that mountains should be free from everything that is against nature.
Ursa Trail has a start and finish in beautiful Metsovo in the central part of the Pindos Mountains. You can choose from distances of 40 and 21 kilometers, there is also a vertical 860 m up. From a personal sentiment we must remind you that once there was also an amazing distance of 100 km… and who knows, maybe it will return someday.
Argithea Mountain Race is a competition held in the wild, inaccessible areas of Agrafa, with the start and finish in the small village of Petrilo. Distances of 30, 13 and 5 kilometers await you, there is also a vertical 700 m up.

Both events are organized by great teams of mountain enthusiasts and excellent runners, both have also very special race directors. 
Ursa Trail competition is run by Nikolaos Kalofyris – one of the best Greek runners in history, multiple winner and record holder of the Olympus Marathon route and many other competitions in Greece. Nikolaos also has experience in the Alps (second and third place at UTMB!) and in the Himalayas. 
The main organizer of the Argithea competition is Sotiris Filipou – a representative of the youngest generation of organizers of running competitions in Greece. A man completely devoted to the passion for the mountains, participant of many competitions on definitely long distances, who also bravely undertakes individual running projects in areas not penetrated by others.

We will support our Partner Competitions and they will support us. We will inform you what’s new with them, when they open registration, whether they have any new offers, etc.
