Registration Open
We are pleased to announce the start of registrations for the two-day mountain running event on October 26-27, 2024 organized by the “Arkalos” mountain running sports association under the auspices of the Municipality of Sfakia and the Region of Crete!
Races:
Saturday October 26 → 4th SfakiaSkyMarathon (44.1km, d+ 3050m!!!)
Sunday, October 27 → 10th SfakiaVerticalRun (4.9km, d+ 680m!!! )
starting from the ferry boat with the opening of the catapult!
→ Arkalaki run 2024 (1km) children’s race!!!
Many surprises await the athletes who will participate in the SfakiaSkyMarathon race (44.1km, d+ 3050m):
-> “SEA TO SUMMIT” There will be a separate award for the male and female athlete who will first reach the top of the White Mountains, Pachnes at 2453m altitude (21km, d+ 2600) and finish the race within the time limit!
-> “BRING THE CHEESE” A head of traditional Cretan graviera 3kg prepared in a traditional way by the shepherds of Sfakia will be at the 26oKm of the race at an altitude of 2000m. It will be acquired by whichever athlete chooses first to carry it (in a special bag) with him until the end of the race in Anopolis!!!
